Portuguese Bibles for Mozambique
Recently the South Africa-Indian Ocean Division leadership approached Remnant Publications, requesting that we print Portuguese Bibles for the members in the four conferences of Mozambique. There are approximately 286,000 members, of which only a few have a Bible. Many times the pastors even have trouble getting one. Can you imagine trying to preach the Word of God without a Bible? We frequently hear of entire congregations that share only one Bible.
They are hungry for the Word of God but cannot afford Bibles. The majority are fortunate if they even have one meal a day. They need our help. They need the message of God's love—of salvation and true liberation—they need to know that God offers them a better future in eternity.
Remnant has researched, gathered, and prepared the Portuguese Bible files to print these Bibles for Mozambique. However, at even three dollars a Bible, a container of 40,000 Bibles still costs a little more than $120,000 just to print and ship to these areas.
If only 1,300 families, churches, or Sabbath School classes would sacrifice $102 this dream could become a reality--we could print and ship the first container of 40,000 Bibles. Some of you can give more, some less, some as much as $1,000 or $5,000, some less—even $3 will make a difference in approximately 20 people’s lives. It takes all of us working together. The day is fast approaching when our money will be of no value—so let's run this race while the doors of opportunity are still open. We have many to reach with the gospel message and the signs of the times indicate that the race is quickly coming to a close.

The dimensions are 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and 1 1/4" thick. It is important to provide Bibles that will last longer than average to these souls who use their Bibles so frequently.
